Vet care at home for Como pets

A home appointment lets you describe a problem where your pet normally eats, sleeps, walks and uses the toilet. Dr Noor can examine your pet, discuss what the findings mean and plan treatment, medicines, tests, monitoring, follow-up or referral. A timeline and a short photograph or video can make an intermittent sign easier to understand.

Illness and unexpected changesRequest an assessment for vomiting, diarrhoea, appetite loss, coughing, lethargy, pain, urinary changes or behaviour that is different from normal.
Paws, skin, ears and woundsShow Dr Noor a sore paw, torn nail, cut, lump, itch, rash, ear discharge or another visible concern in familiar surroundings.
Health checks and vaccinationsArrange preventive care for a puppy, kitten or adult pet at home, without adding a car trip or waiting room to the day.
Same-day and urgent concernsGive the start time, current signs and anything already tried so XCura can triage the request and prioritise sick pets.
Sample collection and diagnostic checksDr Noor can discuss blood, urine or other samples and the diagnostic testing that will help answer the questions raised by the examination.
Senior and comfort-focused careTalk through mobility, pain, chronic illness, daily nursing, quality of life and end-of-life decisions in the setting your pet knows.

After an outing at Como’s dog parks or foreshore

The City of South Perth describes Olives Reserve as a fully enclosed Como dog park with agility equipment. The City also identifies Comer Reserve as an enclosed space designed for small dogs. Como households may also notice a change after a neighbourhood or foreshore walk.

Once home, watch your pet move at an ordinary pace. Check between the toes and around the pads, look for a torn nail, swelling, a small cut or redness, and notice persistent licking, scratching, head shaking, coughing or unusual tiredness. Compare both sides rather than concentrating only on the area your pet is licking.

Note which outing occurred, the time, surface, length of activity, contact with other animals and when the sign first appeared. If it is safe, record a short video of a limp or movement change before your pet rests. This gives Dr Noor useful context without assuming the park, path or outing caused the problem.

Making a Como apartment or townhouse visit straightforward

For an apartment or townhouse near Canning Bridge, entry instructions can be as important as the street address. Include the building name, visitor-parking location, unit number, intercom method, lift access and the best place for Dr Noor to bring equipment inside. For a house, mention a gate, driveway, steps or a less obvious entrance.

Choose a quiet, well-lit room with enough clear floor space for an examination. Keep a dog indoors with a lead ready. Settle a cat in one closed room before the arrival window, with windows secured and no route into a balcony, stairwell, shared corridor or car park when the door opens.

If a pet usually hides when the intercom sounds or visitors arrive, explain that in the request. You can arrange for one person to meet Dr Noor at the foyer while another stays with the pet, or provide a simple entry sequence that avoids repeated door opening. Practical details help the appointment begin calmly.

Dr Noor comes to your Como home

Your appointment is with Dr Noor, the founder and attending veterinarian of XCura Mobile Vet. He starts with the changes you have observed, examines your pet and explains the findings and reasonable next steps in plain English.

Depending on what the visit shows, care may include medication, treatment, a sample, diagnostic testing, home monitoring, follow-up or referral. Learn more about Dr Noor’s professional background.

Fees for a Como home consultation

The current standard weekday home-visit fee for one pet, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, is $175. Multiple pets, other times, priority timing, additional handling, medicines, tests or procedures can change the total.

Check the current XCura pricing page. Any applicable additional fee and expected charges are explained before confirmation.

Sending a useful Como visit request

  1. Enter your Como address, contact details, preferred timing and your pet’s species, age and main concern.
  2. Describe a brief sequence: the first change, what has happened since and how your pet is behaving now.
  3. Add photographs or video when they show movement, breathing, skin, a wound, vomit or another sign that may change before the visit.
  4. XCura triages sick pets, considers the Como travel route and remaining capacity, then sends the arrival window and preparation details.
  5. A secure payment link is provided after the appointment is arranged. Dr Noor then attends, examines your pet and discusses options and expected costs.

Set up the home before Dr Noor arrives

  • Send exact parking and entry instructions, including an intercom, gate, stairs, lift, unit number or visitor bay.
  • Keep dogs indoors and have a well-fitting lead ready, even if your dog is usually calm with visitors.
  • Place cats in a secure room before the arrival window and check any balcony, external door or shared-corridor risk.
  • Gather medicines, recent records, test results, photographs and videos where they can be found quickly.
  • After a dog-park, foreshore or local walk, note the route, activity, surface and what changed once your pet came home.
  • Tell XCura beforehand about handling sensitivity, bite risk, infection concerns or another safety issue involving people or pets.

Same-day and urgent requests from Como

If a problem has appeared suddenly or become worse, begin with the time it started and what your pet is doing now. Mention anything already given or tried. A brief video can show a limp, cough, tremor or behaviour that is difficult to reproduce on demand.

XCura receives requests about vomiting, diarrhoea, wounds, sore paws, broken nails, painful movement, eye or ear problems, coughing, urinary changes, restlessness, unusual behaviour and deterioration in an existing condition. The details help Dr Noor triage the case and organise the next step.

For an immediate life-threatening emergency, travel directly to an open veterinary hospital.

We are forever grateful for the skill and compassionate care Dr Noor gave our beautiful girl (and us). With his ongoing support and oversight to ensure her comfort we had a further 10 days with her before we had to say goodbye. With our deepest thanks and appreciation to this most amazing vet.

Dr Noor is wonderful. My senior lab x mastiff, Sunny, was in pain and struggling to put weight through her back legs. I sent a request for a home visit late at night for the following morning. I received a response immediately and was booked in the next day. Dr Noor arrived within the allotted time and was so patient with Sunny who is anxious around new people. He was incredibly thorough in his examination and had all medications that Sunny needed to keep her comfortable with him. I was so impressed with the service provided and Dr Noor’s care for Sunny. New favourite vet! Would definitely recommend.

Highly rate Dr Noor. He was very kind and gentle with my 10 week old Puppy’s ear infection and helped her recover. She was a squirmy patient but Dr Noor was very patient with her and took the time to answer any questions I had. She was excited to see him again on the second visit so that is a big tick of approval!

Dr. Noor arrived in a timely manner to look after our groodle Toffee after making the booking on the same day. The booking system was easy and efficient. He took time to get to know our timid dog, working to gain her trust. We loved Dr. Noor's patience, kindness and all the time making it as stress-free for Toffee as possible. We will most definitely be re-booking with Dr. Noor with all our vet visits going forward. Highly recommend his professional services to anyone looking for a mobile vet.

Dr Noor is so incredibly kind, patient and truly cares about the wellbeing of your pet. If he is ever late for your appointment it’s only because he’s had to prioritise an emergency which means if your pet is ever in a similar situation you know he’ll do everything within his capacity to be their for them as promptly as possible, which is a really comforting thought.

Common questions from Como pet owners

Do you visit homes throughout Como 6152?

Yes. Send your Como address and preferred time through the home-visit request. Include your actual entry details so XCura can plan the arrival for a house, townhouse or apartment.

What access details should I send for an apartment?

Include the building and unit number, visitor-parking instructions, intercom or entry method, lift or stairs and any point where a resident needs to meet Dr Noor. Mention if a cat could reach a balcony, corridor or stairwell when a door opens.

What should I check after a dog-park or foreshore outing?

Watch your pet walk, compare the paws and legs, look between the toes and around the pads, and note licking, scratching, head shaking, coughing or unusual tiredness. Record the timing and a short video if the sign changes from moment to moment.

How much is the standard weekday Como visit?

The current one-pet weekday fee is $175 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The XCura pricing page explains other times, multiple pets and charges that may apply to additional care.

Can I request a same-day visit?

Yes, we usually have same day availability. However, due to our high case load, we need to triage and see the sickest pets (which may be yours) sooner than the others who can wait. XCura reviews your pet’s needs, the travel route, access, and remaining capacity before confirming an arrival window.

What details help with an urgent request?

State when the problem began, what has changed, how your pet is behaving now and what medicine or first aid has already been used. Add a clear photograph or short video when it shows the concern more accurately.

Ask Dr Noor to visit your pet in Como

Send the concern, its timing, your Como address, preferred visit time and the exact parking or entry route. XCura will use those details to organise the appointment and tell you how to prepare your pet and home.
